Statistical Days 2026

About the conference

Statistical Days 2026 will be held on May 28-29, 2026 at Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki. The keynote speaker will be Professor Aldo Solari (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice).

Now is the time to submit presentation proposals! Send a presentation proposal (20 min.) and an abstract to Pekka Pere (pekka.j.pere@aalto.fi). Please mention separately if you wish your presentation to be in the “Research showcase” section. A few high-quality studies that have been recently published or accepted for publication will be selected for the showcase. The presentation style should be understandable even to those who are not very familiar with the subject. The presenters of the showcase will receive a certificate of honor.

In addition, at least two sessions will have the following theme:

  • Tekoäly tilasto- ja tutkimustoiminnassa (Artificial intelligence in research and statistical production).

  • Rekisteriaineistot päätöksenteon ja tutkimuksen tukena (Register data to support decision-making and research).

Please also let us know if your presentation proposal fits under these themes!

A poster competition will also be organized during the days. Please inform Pekka Pere if you are participating in that too.

Early registration (13.2.-30.4.2026):

  • Members of the Finnish Statistical Society (dinner included): 85 €
  • Non-members (dinner included): €150
  • Student members of the Statistical Society with dinner: €80
  • Students without a student membership of the Statistical Society with dinner: €90
  • Students without dinner: €10
  • There is no participation fee for speakers at the Statistical Days, but registration is required! Speakers will receive a registration link once their presentation proposal has been accepted

  • Members of the Finnish Statistical Society (dinner included): €105
  • Non-members (dinner included): €160
  • Student members of the Finnish Statistical Society with dinner: €90
  • Students without a Statistical Society student membership with dinner: €100
  • Students without dinner: €10
  • There is no participation fee for speakers at Statistical Days, but registration is required! Speakers will receive a registration link once their presentation proposal has been accepted

 

Registration cancellation:

  • If the registration is canceled by May 18, 2026, the registration fee will be refunded in full.
  • The registration fee will not be refunded if the cancellation is made after May 18, 2026!
