Doctoral Dissertation and Leo Törnqvist Prizes Awarded

The Finnish Statistical Society has granted the award for the best doctoral dissertation published in 2013-2016 to Johan Pensari for his dissertation Structure Learning of Context-Specific Graphical Models and two Leo Törnqvist awards for the best master’s theses published in 2015-2016 to Niko Liétzen for his thesis New Approach to Complex Valued ICA: From FOBI to AMUSE and to Santtu Tikka for his thesis Kausaalivaikutusten identifiointi algoritmisesti. The awards were announced at the Statistical Days 2017 held in Turku.
